Privacy policy

We collect as little as we can.

If you just browse

No account is needed. "Near me" uses your location only on your device to centre the map. It isn't sent to us or stored. Quick notes (busy, broken and so on) are stored with a one-way scrambled code of your connection, used only to stop spam, and no name.

If you create an account

We store your display name, email and a securely hashed password. Your email is never shown publicly and never sold. We use it only for password resets and important account messages.

Photos

Uploaded photos are resized and their hidden location data (EXIF) is removed.

Cookies

We use a sign-in cookie only when you sign in. The map uses OpenStreetMap tiles, which means your browser requests map images from openstreetmap.org.
